This is some history on myself to give you an idea of the type
of hunter I am and why my ranch has become such a popular
destination. I grew up on a farm in Central Alberta were we can
hunt lots of different species from prairie dogs, fox ,coyotes,
wolves, mountain lion, bears, antelope, mule deer, whitetail,
elk, goat, bighorn sheep and moose.
Alberta has a diverse landscape from prairies, boreal forests,
farm land and the spectacular Rocky Mountains. The fishing is
pretty darn good too!
Starting at the age of 14, I worked as a wrangler in the
mountains for a couple summers. Then by the age of 18, I went to
the North West Territories in 1990 to guide dall sheep, goat,
wolves, wolverine, caribou and Alaska Yukon Moose.
I still continue to try and make a hunt or two there each year.
In 1993, I was able to purchase some whitetail and mule deer
tags and started my own outfitting business. In 1996 I purchased
my first 10 whitetail does and a breeder buck staring the
Rack RanchDeer Farm. In 2002, the Rack Ranch
was built and stocked with the best deer and elk I could find
making it the premier destination for trophy Elk and Deer. As your
outfitter, I will do my best to ensure you have a safe, enjoyable
and successful trip.
